At Millie Moo Dog Grooming in Tuxford, I believe that grooming is a skill many dogs need time, patience, and support to learn through canine training services.

Too often, grooming is the one thing we expect dogs to simply get on with and be comfortable doing. In reality, grooming involves unfamiliar people, strange equipment, new sensations, and handling that some dogs may find overwhelming or worrying. 

It doesn’t matter whether your dog is a young puppy, an adolescent dog, or an older dog with years of grooming experience; every dog is an individual, and every dog deserves to be listened to.

That’s why I offer specialized training and confidence-building sessions before grooming, incorporating dog training courses tailored to each dog's needs. 

These sessions focus on building trust and developing a positive relationship between your dog and me. Using positive reinforcement training, tasty treats, games, and gentle introductions to grooming equipment and handling, I work at your dog’s pace to help them feel safe and comfortable.

The sessions also allow me to learn about your dog as an individual. I can discover what motivates them, what helps them feel confident, what they may find challenging, and how I can best support them throughout their grooming journey.
