Hi, I’m Sian Lucas, the founder of Millie Moo Dog Grooming, your trusted choice for dog grooming in Tuxford. I’ve always been passionate about animals, especially dogs, and my love for them has driven me to build a career around caring for them.
My journey began in 2013 when I started volunteering with local rescues. From there, I gained experience by assisting a local gundog trainer, which deepened my understanding of different breeds and their needs. As I continued to develop my skills, I eventually launched my own dog walking business, offering tailored care for each dog I looked after.
Along the way, I’ve worked hard to expand my knowledge, completing a number of qualifications to ensure I’m always providing the best care for your pets. Then, when I fell pregnant with my first child, I knew it was the perfect time to pursue a lifelong dream: dog grooming. I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management at 38 weeks pregnant, an experience that only strengthened my passion for the industry.
After returning to work following the birth of my baby, I decided to take the leap and launch Millie Moo Dog Grooming, located conveniently for those seeking pet grooming in Newark. It’s been a dream come true, and I’m so excited to offer high-quality, low-stress grooming to every dog that comes through our doors.
I’m committed to providing a personal, caring approach to every dog I groom, ensuring they leave looking fabulous and feeling their best. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry friend!

I named my business, Millie Moo Dog Grooming, after the dog who truly changed my life—Millie. She was more than just a dog; she was my best friend, my teacher, and my constant source of inspiration. From the moment we met, Millie was right by my side, supporting me through every step of my journey, especially in my career in dog grooming. Tuxford has been a great community to serve, and I owe it all to her.
Millie was the perfect practice dog when I was learning to groom. She patiently allowed me to develop my skills as I refined my techniques in pet grooming, often in nearby Newark. She never complained, always trusting me and offering her love in return. She was a gentle, loving soul, and I could never fully express just how much she means to me.
Millie was my reason for everything—the reason I found my passion for grooming, the reason I built Millie Moo Dog Grooming, and the reason I continue to thrive every day. Unfortunately, Millie lost her battle to cancer in February 2026 at just 10 and a half years old.
Though she’s no longer physically with me, her spirit lives on in every dog I groom and in the heart of this business. Millie will always be a part of everything I do, and through Millie Moo Dog Grooming, I am determined to keep her memory alive, doing my best to make her proud. I love you, Millie, more than words can ever express. ❤️
